CLE Clothing Co. was born in 2008 from a shared dream between two lifelong friends—one a graphic designer, the other an entrepreneur—who wanted to create something that celebrated Cleveland pride. Over beers and burgers at Whitey’s in Richfield, Ohio, they sketched out a plan, bought a screen printing press, and launched their first designs. With just a website, social media, and $50 worth of business cards, CLE Clothing Co. began “Spreading Cleveland Pride, One T-Shirt at a Time.”
Their grassroots approach quickly gained traction. From local festivals to a kiosk at SouthPark Mall, the brand grew into a beloved local icon. In 2012, they opened their flagship store on E. 4th Street in downtown Cleveland, followed by locations in Shaker Heights, Crocker Park, Summit Mall in Akron, and an online “wear-house” in Lakewood. Today, CLE Clothing Co. employs over 50 Clevelanders and partners with more than 40 local artisans and makers.
With over 98% of products made in the USA and printed in Cleveland, CLE Clothing Co. remains committed to quality, community, and local pride. Their award-winning designs have earned them dozens of accolades, making them a staple for both locals and tourists looking to wear their Cleveland spirit.
