Santa has been using a repairing his sleigh each year for the past 500 years. While the population of the world has grown, Santa’s sleigh has felt the strain of increasing demands.

On December 26, 2009 the day after Christmas, Santa’s family and all the elves gathered for their annual meeting and festival. All of the elves and reindeer were dressed in their finest to plan for the following year. Elf Ramon, who had the responsibility to make repairs to Santa’s sleigh, sat off to the side, slowly shaking his head amongst the festivities. Santa could see that Ramon was deeply troubled and went to see what was wrong. “What is bothering you, Ramon? Santa asked. “I have patched the sleigh so many times, Santa, I am afraid your sleigh will fall apart on your next flight and I don’t know what to do.” Ramon said.

Mrs. Claus and Santa listened carefully and declared, “Goodness gracious! I guess it’s time for Santa to build a new sleigh!

And so it came to pass that very day that Santa and his elves began to build a new sleigh!

The Sleigh you see before you is approximately 6’ wide, 14’ long and almost 5’ feet tall. It is complete with all manners of new technology. A GPS system, vertical lift capabilities, vortex wormhole connections with a toy workshop are all included on board. This special, magical and exciting sleigh is for children 1-100 years old. It was built from a single popular tree and took over 1600 magic filled hours to construct.

Remember as you take your photo in the seat where Santa drives that there are very few times that someone can actually see Santa’s Sleigh. On a starry Christmas night when the moon is bright, maybe just maybe, you can see the silhouette of Santa and the sleigh pulled by reindeer crossing the sky. So, until that magical night, you can enjoy your own special experience with Santa’s sleigh right here at Crocker Park.
