We are kicking off Independence Day with our annual musical fest, Liberty Rocks presented by Metro Lexus, on Sunday, June 30 from 3pm-9pm.
The fest will take place in The Center Circle and host a fantastic line up of entertainers including Old Skool, Funk Worthy, The Front Porch Lights and St. Edwards Trash Talkers all leading up to a headlining performance from GRAMMY nominated band, Plain White T’s.
Since emerging in 1997 from Chicago, the Plain White T’s comprising of Tom Higgenson (vocals), Tim Lopez (lead guitar and vocals), Dave Tirio (rhythm guitar), Mike Retondo (bass) and De’Mar Hamilton (drums) have produced several recognizable hits including A Lonely September in 2001, their Billboard Hot 100 song, “Hey There Delilah” in 2005 and “Rhythm of Love” in 2010. The group recently released their newest album, Parallel Universe, which embodies their shift to creating music that speaks from their personal stories and experiences coming this far in life and the industry.
A beer garden with Miller Light and a vendor village will be a part of the day as a lineup of food trucks, including Smokin Rock ‘n Roll, Hatfield’s Goode Grub, Manna Food Truck, The Cameo Truck, and Cleveland Cookie Dough Co! There will also be appearances from Graffiti HeART, Lake Erie Crushers, Cleveland Monsters, Cleveland Cavaliers, Cleveland Browns and so much more!
Admission is FREE to attend, and parking will be available in the main garages for $10. A portion of the parking and beer garden proceeds will be donated to University Hospital’s Rainbow Babies & Children’s Hospital.
This event is made possible by our fantastic sponsors including Metro Lexus, Tri-C, Star 102, Q104, Sherwin Williams, Hughie’s Event Production Services, Hyatt Place, Benesch, Dane ReStorz, Brio, Cantina Laredo and Cedar Point.
